Right in the middle of the small city Gränna is Grenna Polkagriskokeri situated. It´s one of the largest manufacturers in town. The small town of Gränna is a real gem with old wooden houses and an amazing view over lake Vättern. In the bakery they produce the famous peppermint rock candy Polkagris amongst many other sweets. All hand made from traditional recipe dating all way back to 1859. The bakery is connected with our candy store, and you can see the candy factory from the store. In the candy store you can buy rock candy, sweets, toffees, lollipops and lots more. Most of it from our own production.

You may wonder why there is a hot air balloon in our logo. You see, the second thing that made our town famous is that the polar scientist Mr Salomon August Andrée was born in Gränna in 1854. The hot air balloon, Andrées “The Eagle” is a tribute to the very brave adventurer.
The small town of Gränna is a real gem of old wooden houses and an amazing view over lake Vättern and the island Visingsö. Right in the middle of the small city is Grenna Polkagriskokeri situated. Our shop is a true candy shop with all sorts of sweets as far as your eye can see.
The woman who put Gränna om the map was Mrs Amalia Eriksson, and thanks to her, Gränna will forever be assosiated with the red and white striped candy called “Polkagris”.
